Your Data. Your Call.
Pollfish will comply with applicable GDPR regulations when they take effect on 25th May 2018. GDPR is the new EU regulation for protection of personal data and marks a new era in data protection, being the most significant piece of privacy legislation in Europe in the last twenty years. It replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive (European Directive 95/46/EC), strengthening the rights of EU citizens over their data and creating a uniform data protection law across Europe.See the full GDPR guidelines here.
We value our customers' privacy and are committed to GDPR compliance. To achieve this, we have evaluated all areas related to personal data across Pollfish and have initiated a common GDPR project to strengthen and improve data protection across the organisation.
In addition to the above, GDPR awareness training will be carried out to all Pollfish employees, to ensure a unified security level throughout the company.
To further secure continuous data protection and the fulfilment of GDPR requirements we have appointed a Data Protection Officer and GDPR compliance will be monitored with regular audits. Pollfish will also be certifying its compliance to the EU-US Privacy Shield as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data from European Union countries. We will continue to make additional required operational changes resulting from the new legislation and assign an internal team who will continue to monitor GDPR as it moves to become more clearly defined over the coming months.
The Bright Side
Pollfish has always valued its customers and partners and we already have a data strategy and infrastructure in place. However, instead of seeing the changes that GDPR brings about as a complexity to be burdened with, Pollfish welcomes the new Regulation. After all, no one can deny that most of the changes required by GDPR make good sense from a customer relationship perspective.
In a nutshell, GDPR compliance is a great opportunity for us to strengthen trust and develop consumer confidence in the collection, storage and use of personal data. So Pollfish embraces GDPR and looks forward to engaging with customers even more transparently.
